Analytical paragraph number 3

3. Based on the elements of the Hero's journey and the events that have happened so far in The Odyssey, I do not think that Telemachus is a hero. One reason he is not a hero is that he does not refuse the call to go on the journey to find his father. Most heros refuse the calling at first. Another reason he is not a hero is that he has no supernatural powers given to him. So far in the story he has not ran into any gods that help him along the way. Most heros have some sort of supernatural power or guide that helps them on their journey. Those are two reasons why I do not think Telemachus is a hero.

  1. You make some good references to the Hero's Journey, but the one about him not being helped by the gods is incorrect. Remember that Athena comes to him.

Also, your paragraph on Odysseus is missing.
